I think writers always know they want to write. I did. I wrote
poems about clouds and dreams when I was little and had stacks of books. I was the nerdy
kid who went to the mall with five dollars and came home with three books! Three books for five dollars! I locked myself
in my room and read. I wrote my first short story in high school called "Broken Hart"
and the main character's name was 'Hartley' of course,
and her boyfriend was going to college and, of course,
she was dying of a broken heart.
I love authors, and I love writing and reading and napping.
I love meeting authors and have met some amazing writers, especially when I lived in the
Chicagoland area because every writer traveled to
Chicago. Now I live in Scottsdale, Arizona, which
is great for the weather, not so great for the authors. I started blogging
in 2004, where I 'became' MaNiC MoMMy, blogging about
my three little kids, who are not so little anymore, so I don't blog about them now. I
blog about books and the authors that I love today,
and that blog is Booking with Manic. I've featured so many talented authors and discovered
